Project Coordinator

Job Overview:

Nexiya is seeking a Project Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for a client in San Diego. Nexiya is a nationwide staffing and recruiting company servicing utility and telecom industries. Join our experienced team of professionals and make an impact on the telecommunication and utility industry.


Position Duties:

  • Gathers project information such as schedules, assignments, tasks, and project meeting calendars.

  • Provide daily administrative support to project management design team and staff.

  • Distribute information to Program Manager, Project Managers, Designer leads and other project team members.

  • Manage, update, validate database entries and tracking documents to comply with the needs of specific utility programs.

  • Monitor project schedules, review and modify schedules with Project Manager approval.

  • Assist Program Manager and Project Managers in coordinating strategic and operational meetings, and follow up with meeting notes.

  • Schedule project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communicates quality and project management requirements to project teams and any other relevant stakeholder.

  • Perform office administrative tasks such as filing and reporting.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Position Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a projects-related role and/or administrative support role, preferably with electric and gas infrastructure projects.

  • Skilled in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP.

  • Sharepoint and Procore is a plus.

  • Prior work experience with SDG&E, SCE or PG&E is a plus.

  • Associate degree in Project management, engineering, or related field.

  • Familiarity with project management and project lifecycle is not required but a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to quickly learn and develop a strong working knowledge of various software applications.

  • Strong customer service skills and proactive follow-up (internal and external).

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

  • Superior organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
